I started this fanfic last summer, and recently decided to pick it up again
Personally, I'm really happy with how far its come since then. Its about 7 chapters long so far, but I'm planning on posting them here slowly so its not a huge rush.
This takes place when Naruto and everyone are 16 to 17 years old. And Deidara and everyone are all still alive and stuff, so its before the first major arc of Shippuden.
Disclaimer: Naruto belongs to the dude who created it, and the only things which belong to me are Tahaki, Syaoran, Kenso and Akira. And of course, Hyoti.
On we go!
------------------------------------------
“Another Jinchuuriki has been located.” The shadowy figure stated, his crimson eyes surveying the group before him. From left to right in front of him stood Itachi, Kisame, Deidara, Sasori, Zetsu, Hidan, Kazuku, Tobi and the most recent member - Akira.
“Itachi, Kisame. I want you to go to Konoha and collect the Kyuubi. It is time we took care of it.”
“Leader, what about the recent Jinchuuriki?” Sasori spoke up, with a hint of impatience in his tone. They knew about the Kyuubi already. The crimson eyes of Pein turned his way and surveyed the redhead before answering.
“Patience, Sasori. I was just getting to that.” His gaze moved to settle on Akira, watching the emotionless face carefully. “The target has the two-tailed beast inside of her. Also in Konaha. That is why I want you to collect her along with the Kyuubi, Itachi, Kisame. I’m sending along Sasori and Deidara for back-up, just in case.”
Kisame frowned and crossed his arms. The cheek! They didn’t need back-up. His partner only shrugged in response to Pein’s questioning gaze. Itachi couldn’t care less who went.
“Un, what is the name of the second Jinchuuriki, yeah?” Deidara questioned, smirking. Finally he’d get to have some fun.
“Amora Tahaki.”
Akira winced.
-Flashback, Tahaki aged 12-
(Tahaki’s P-O-V, 1st Person)
“Yes!” I punched the air, long brown hair flicked and golden eyes glinting with happiness. Team Ryou, consisting of three 12 year olds – two boys, Ukizi Kenso and Hatake Syaoran, and one girl (me), Amora Tahaki, were stood in the training grounds with our Sensei, Hanzin Ryou. Sensei had just informed us that we’d just passed the Chuunin exams, and were Genin no more. The reaction was predictable – we were all over the moon.
“I told you we’d make it.” Kenso smirked, teasing me. The raven haired boy took great pleasure in always teasing his teammates, and he even got a chuckle out of redheaded Syaoran. I however, gave him one reply – by sticking my tongue out at him. Sure, Syaoran and me had needed a bit of a pick-me-up in the Forest of Death but we’d all been so determined to get through it.
Even Ryou chuckled. “Alright you lot. Better get on home, its getting late.” We nodded and all at the same time.
“Night, Sensei.”
-Flash forwards, Tahaki aged 15-
“Well, well. Look who it is.” Zanshi Sado snickered. I looked up and discovered a group of about 5 shinobi in front of me, all about 2 years older than me and just as tall. “Bakemono.”
I was used to this. That word was spat at me wherever I went, harsh looks from everyone I saw and whispering behind my back. The only people I felt safe with were my teammates and my family.
“Don’t call me bakemono.” I growled, scowling. I hated that word. Sado grinned, having gotten a response. My hands clenched into small fists at my sides.
“Baka. Don’t tell me what to do.” Sado smirked and raised his fist and connected with the side of my face. I fell back and hit the ground, had to roll to the side as Sado’s foot came down, aiming for my stomach.
“Hmm, sneaky little bakemono aren’t we?” One of the others – Shinamori Gaki, smirked and stepped forward, grabbing my wrists in his hands, holding them together tightly and pulling me up until I couldn’t touch the ground. God, he was tall, but then I was only 4 foot 5 inches so the height difference was obvious.
“Get off me, you bastard.” I started to struggle, trying to loosen his grip. I winced when he slammed me harshly into the fence in reply, my gold eyes closing in pain as Sado kicked me in the stomach and held his foot there. As my vision started to blur and fade from pain in my back, stomach and head from where I had slammed into the wood, a shiny black kunai flew past and buried itself in Sado’s leg, drawing blood. He pulled it back with a hiss of pain and looked towards the source. Gaki followed his gaze and quickly let go of my wrists so I slid down the fence and ended up sitting on the ground with my knees up to my chin to protect my stomach. I opened my eyes to find my sight had returned to normal, although I was still in a bit of pain, and looked towards my saviour. And smiled weakly.
“Get off of her.” Angry tones from the kunai’s owner. Emerald eyes glared out from the unruly brown hair that belonged to my twin brother, older by one minute.
“Nii-san…” I whispered.
“Onee-san are you alright?” He asked, drawing a small nod from me. He turned back to the group.
“You call her a bakemono and yet you see fit to beat her up when she has done nothing? You disgust me.”
“S-she started it-t…” Sado stammered. My brother was a Jounin, even at the age of 15. He was strong and clever, and was always sending what I call ‘death’ glares to anyone who even just gave me a dirty look. Protective or what, but in this situation I didn’t mind. It was just a relief that he was here and I wasn’t going to get the shit beaten out of me for the 3rd time this week.
“Don’t lie to me. Just get out of my sight before I change my mind about letting you go unharmed.” My twin brother growled, power walking over to me. He bent down and pulled one of my arms around his neck and held onto my waist, and helped me up.
“H-hai Akira-san.” The group ran off, taking my brother’s threat to beat the shit out of them literally. But he really would do that, I knew my brother.
“You should be careful, Onee-san. You know you’re having one of the side-effects.”
Yes, side effects, you heard right. Inside me is sealed a demon wolf – one of the tailed bijû, and now and again for some reason (probably because I’m not strong enough to stop this effect yet) I get times when my senses are dulled and I’m just so tired. Its becoming less frequent, so I guess I’m getting stronger.
Akira started walking down the street holding my arm around his neck.
“I know. You don’t have to do this, Nii-san. I told you, I’m fine, really.”
“Onee-san, don’t complain. We’ll be home soon and I’d rather you got home in one piece.”
