Well, given the success of the last writing challenge (THREE STORIES, OMG!!! ;D Hey, we only have 20 members--I think 3 stories is good! :, I'm gonna go ahead and start another one!
This one's a two-monther, partially because April's halfway over, partially to give us more time, partially because of the theme.
April showers bring May flowers. (Pilgrims are optional. ) The entire story must take place during a rainstorm. Any sort of rainstorm is allowed--spritzing, drizzle, downpour, thunder, lightning, monsoon season, whatever. But it must be raining. (Though if you want the end of the story to be the sun coming out and the rain clouds disappearing, that's alright.)
Also, there have to be flowers present in some way, shape, or form.
Length: No length restrictions.
Other: You must include a blanket, a broken piece of dishware (plate, bowl, cup, whatever), and the line, "Not long now. Be patient."
Can't wait to see what you guys come up with this time! ;D
I'm in! (Golden epic plot bunny pops up, gives evil eye, hops off) Aha! I'm going to get you this time you evil carrot munching thing! (Pulls out butterfly net, gives chase) BTW, my cousin owns a golden bunny with really creepy red eyes. I swear, the thing is the devil in disguise. hence, the plot bunny above.
Caught you! (Holding squirming bunny) the story is born! I am already seeing it. this one isn't going to be epic, but it takes place during my Kingdom Lost series. I am basically going to tell a chapter from the pov of a bystander witnissing a fight between two of my main characters.
(Holding a second golden red eyed plot bunny) now I've got a second idea I'm considering. Back when I was ten, I survived a rare tornado, second known tornado to hit that area of Oregon. I just might write the story based on that.
April Showers bring May flowers means that the entire story must take place during a rain storm. This brings up a slight problem with my story as i've got it started where the sun is shining. not to worry. I'll figure something out.
