Alrighty, so, this being a writing-centered board, I was thinking some writing challenges wouldn't be out of place to help keep those creative juices flowing. ;D Thus, I'm thinking of maybe a monthly challenge sort of thing. Provided people are interested, of course. This one's sort of a test.
And so, our first monthly writing challenge, for the month of March! Simply follow the guidelines and then submit your challenge response in this thread.
Requirements
St. Patty's Day is March 17th, so luck is a big part of the month of March. Your story needs to include luck as a main concept. It can be good luck, bad luck, no luck, any sort of luck. Lucky charms (four-leaved clovers, rabbit's feet, etc.) are optional.
Length: For this first one, there are no word limits. You can write any sort of fic you like--one shot, short story, multi-chapter saga (though of course that would take a while...). Later challenges may have word limits, though, just to spice things up a bit.
Characters: Anyone you want. All generations and OCs are welcome. Though again, later challenges may have more specific requirements to make things more interesting.
Other: Your story also needs to include a painting, a party, and a cape.
Bonus Points if you add in anything else that has to do with March--the first day of Spring, Pi Day, or anything else you can think of! (Of course, you don't HAVE to if you don't want to...thus why it's BONUS points... )
Okay, I think that'll do it. Enough random pieces there to get our minds working, methinks. Now just write up a story including all that stuff, and post it in this thread before March 31, 11:59:59.
I can't wait to see what people come up with! ;D *starts thinking about a oneshot (and the TS too, of course...)*
